The 20 Days Of Orishas!

Over the next 20 days I will be showcasing 20 Yoruba African Orishas. In Africa there  is group of people called the Yourba! Yoruba teachings say that the universe was the two primodial beings or elements, The Sky (Olorun The Sun God) & The Watery Chaos (Olokun).  An Orisha is a spirit that reflects one of the manifestations of the supreme divinity. Orisha's are said to have existed in the invisible world and lived as human beings in the planetary world. Normally, you will see that there are 401 orishas. We will only be looking a few of the msin recongized Gods. Practitioners traditionally believe that daily life depends on proper alignment and acknowledgment of ones aura/ori. 

Ori literally means head , but in spiritual matters it is taken to mean a portion of the soul that determines personal destiny and success. Each Orisha has something they guard or protect for the Yoruba people and they hold special keys to success!! For Black History much I will give you a better understanding of this religion and everything is based on, which is animism and make some lifestyle changes on step at a time!
